​Janel Harris-Hamiel, Managing Director, founded Tutor-Topia Learning Solutions™ to address a deeper need in education—helping students not just complete work, but understand how they learn. She is a veteran educator and systems-minded instructional builder whose work is rooted in a deep commitment to helping children learn with greater clarity, confidence, and independence.

 

Her academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology from East Carolina University and a master’s degree in School Administration from North Carolina A&T State University. Across her professional journey, she has remained deeply interested in how students think, how learning breaks down, and what it takes to rebuild instructional experiences that lead to stronger understanding and long-term growth.

 

Tutor-Topia was created from that conviction. Rather than building a conventional tutoring company, Janel developed Tutor-Topia as a structured educational system designed to address deeper learning barriers—especially the kinds of challenges that prevent students from transferring knowledge, developing confidence, and engaging meaningfully with instruction.

 

Her leadership reflects a blend of educational expertise, strong compassion for children and families, and governance-minded protection of innovation.
